Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Sinners Team ("we", "us") is a reading app for original fan fiction and fictional stories published by the Sinners Team authors. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. It goes together with our Terms and Conditions, which are in the app.
2. Adults only (18+)
The app contains mature themes and is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.
3. What stays on your device
Reading needs no account. As a guest, the app keeps only on your device: your settings (theme, colours, font, text size, corners), your reading progress, your highlighted passages (bookmarks), and cached app files so it opens quickly. This device data never leaves your device. You can clear it any time from your browser or device settings, or by removing the app.
4. If you sign in with Google
To comment, post, or use features like a library and book updates, you sign in with Google. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, which holds the basic account details needed to log you in, such as your account ID and email address.
- We use your Google account only to sign you in. We do not show your Google name or email address to other readers.
- When you sign in, we also store the profile you choose: your public username and, optionally, a profile photo or colour.
- Everything you write on boards (posts, replies and comments) is saved online and is visible to other signed-in readers under your username. Please do not post personal information.
- Your library, saved offline stories and the list of updates you have read are kept on your device only, not on our servers.
The app's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google sign-in data only to provide the sign-in feature, and we do not share it with third parties or use it for advertising.
5. Authors
Author accounts also store the stories, chapters, personas, series and drafts they create, in the author's online account so they are not lost between devices. Persona passwords, where an author sets them, are stored only as protected hashes, not as plain text.
6. Notifications
When you are signed in, the app can show notifications about new stories, new chapters and replies to your comments. These are shown inside the app on your device. The app keeps up to 99 recent notifications in each tab and removes the oldest automatically.
7. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not build profiles of readers.
- We do not use your information to train AI models.
8. Who processes your data
Online data is stored and processed by Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore), which may keep it on servers in other countries. Google processes it under its own terms and Privacy Policy. The app is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Links to other sites such as Telegram, Inkitt and Wattpad lead to services with their own privacy practices that we do not control.
9. How long we keep it
Device data stays until you clear it. Account data and your posts stay while your account is active. Posts that break the community rules may be removed at any time.
10. Your choices and rights
You can read as a guest, clear saved stories and settings from your device, and sign out. You can ask us to correct or delete your account and the posts and replies you made, and we will do so within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law. Contact us and we will help.
11. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and protected by Firebase security rules, and only the authors can publish or edit stories. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in safe and sign out on shared devices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
13. Contact
Privacy questions, or requests to delete your account or posts: message us on Telegram at t.me/maasim2.
